Colocation Update - Bulk upload facility for IP Message Rate Change requests.

National Stock Exchange of India Limited, vide Circular Ref. No. NSE/MSD/75498 dated July 31, 2026, has announced an important update regarding Colocation Update – Bulk upload facility for IP Message Rate Change requests.

Key Details of the Update –
• NSE has introduced a Bulk Upload Facility for submitting Message Rate Change requests (upgrade/downgrade) for Colocation IPs, in addition to the existing individual submission process. This circular is issued in continuation of NSE Consolidated Circular No. NSE/MSD/73958 dated April 29, 2026.

• Applicability: The facility is applicable to all Members seeking modification of message rates for their Colocation IPs through the ENIT system.

• Members can download the bulk upload template through ENIT-NEW-TRADE > Membership > Colocation > Colocation Request Bulk Upload and upload up to 100 IP records per file. The upload file must contain complete and accurate details, including IP Address, Rack Number, Current Message Rate and proposed message bifurcation.

• The uploaded file must not contain duplicate IP records, and the proposed segment-wise message bifurcation must exactly match the new message rate. Where user IDs are mapped to an IP, the message rate for the mapped segment cannot be specified as zero.

• Files shall be processed only if all records are valid and error-free. Files containing invalid entries shall be rejected in their entirety, no request reference number shall be generated, and the system shall provide an error file indicating the records requiring rectification.

• Only one ENIT user per member can upload a bulk file at any given time. The existing processing cut-off time remains unchanged. Requests submitted by 3:00 p.m. on a working day shall be processed on a best-effort basis within T+5 working days.

• The first Message Rate Change request for a Colocation IP in a calendar month shall remain free of charge, irrespective of request status. Subsequent requests for the same IP in the same month shall continue to attract a processing fee of ₹2,000 plus applicable taxes.

• Effective Date: The Bulk Upload Facility shall be effective from the start of business hours on August 03, 2026. All other provisions of NSE Circular No. NSE/MSD/73958 dated April 29, 2026 remain unchanged.

• Key Changes: Introduction of a bulk upload mechanism for message rate change requests to improve operational efficiency while retaining the existing individual request facility and all other colocation processes.

• Penalty/Consequence: Invalid bulk upload files shall be rejected and no request reference number shall be generated until the errors are rectified.

Actions if Any –
• Members intending to submit multiple Message Rate Change requests may use the new Bulk Upload Facility through the prescribed ENIT path.

• Members shall ensure that uploaded files are complete, accurate, free from duplicate IP records and comply with all validation requirements before submission.

• Members should rectify errors identified in the generated error file and resubmit the request, where applicable.

Compliance Deadline –
• August 03, 2026 – Bulk Upload Facility for Colocation IP Message Rate Change requests becomes operational from the start of business hours.
