CKYCRR 2.0 API integration & Reporting entity onboarding guide

Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR), videNotification No. CKYC/NOTIF/2026/01 dated June 05, 2026, has announced an important update regarding CKYCRR 2.0 API integration and Reporting Entity (RE) onboarding.

Key Details of the Update –
• CERSAI is planning to launch CKYCRR 2.0 tentatively in July 2026 and has created a sandbox environment for Reporting Entities (REs) to facilitate integration and testing.
• Applicability: All entities registered with the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR).
• The API documentation for CKYCRR 2.0 has been finalized and provides comprehensive technical and operational guidance for integration with the new platform.
• The API documentation covers onboarding procedures, API security implementation, technical specifications for available APIs, testing and certification requirements, and production deployment guidelines.
• Sandbox access details and technical resources have been made available to facilitate preparedness before production rollout.
• Key Changes: Introduction of CKYCRR 2.0 platform with a dedicated API framework, sandbox testing environment, onboarding process, certification requirements and deployment guidelines for Reporting Entities.
• Effective Date: CKYCRR 2.0 is proposed to be launched tentatively in July 2026.

Actions if Any –
• All Reporting Entities are requested to consume and test the CKYCRR 2.0 API sandbox environment in accordance with the API documentation provided by CERSAI.
• Reporting Entities should review the API document available in the downloads section of the CKYCRR website and initiate onboarding, testing and certification activities.

Compliance Deadline –
• Reporting Entities are advised to complete integration and testing activities before the tentative launch of CKYCRR 2.0 in July 2026.
