National Stock Exchange of India Limited, vide Circular No. NSE/MSD/74133 dated May 08, 2026, has announced an important update regarding new broadcast parameters in the Futures & Options Segment for market data dissemination.
Key Details of the Update –
• Applicability: All NSE Members using market data broadcast in the Futures & Options Segment.
• Effective Date: The changes shall be effective from mock trading on May 09, 2026 and shall be available in the live environment from May 11, 2026.
• Key Changes: NSE is introducing new broadcast parameters in the F&O Segment to change the data type for token-level cumulative volume from “Unsigned Integer” of 4 bytes to “LONG” of 8 bytes.
• The new parameters shall enhance dissemination of Market by Price update, Market Watch update, and Bhavcopy broadcast.
• New broadcast parameters are being introduced for F&O Segment combined broadcast and stream-wise broadcast, covering 5-depth 1-second refresh data, master updates, and market open/close status messages.
• An interim coexistence period shall be provided for receiving broadcasts from both existing and new parameters, after which the existing broadcast parameters shall be discontinued.
• There is no change in the UDP application version.
• Members are advised to take market data broadcast from a single parameter at a time, either existing or new.
• Existing transcodes, except 11833, 17201, 7208 and 7211, and new transcodes 1833, 7201, 17208 and 17211 shall be available in the new broadcast parameters.
• The release of new market data broadcast parameters and new NEAT version with new broadcast market data parameters shall take place on May 09, 2026.
• Discontinuation date for existing market data broadcast parameters for NNF users shall be communicated separately.
• Stream-wise broadcast is not recommended for the Neatplus application.
• Members shall be solely responsible for implementing and maintaining redundancy for market data broadcast subscribed from NSE.
• Penalty/Consequence: Not Mentioned.
Actions if Any –
• Members shall refer to Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 for updated parameters and additional details.
• Members using stream broadcast shall change to the updated parameters to receive the applicable existing and new transcodes.
• Members shall ensure that necessary SOPs, policies, procedures, and mechanisms are in place to switch to existing parameters if required in the live environment during the coexistence period.
• Members shall refer to the latest NNF API document Version 9.48 for further implementation details.
• Members shall monitor and adequately size their infrastructure and systems while subscribing to the feeds.
• Members shall refer to the Master Files for MTBT for details of tokens broadcast in respective streams.
• Members shall build resilience and redundancy in their subscription to market data broadcast to ensure continuity of business operations.
Compliance Deadline –
May 09, 2026 – New market data broadcast parameters and new NEAT version with new broadcast market data parameters shall be released for mock trading; May 11, 2026 – changes shall be available in the live environment; discontinuation date for existing NNF broadcast parameters shall be communicated separately.
