Central Depository Services (India) Limited, vide Communiqué No. CDSL/OPS/DP/POLCY/2026/524 dated August 04, 2026, has announced an important update regarding the training schedule for the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programme of NISM – Depository Operations.
Key Details of the Update –
• CDSL has announced the schedule for the one-day NISM Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programme for Depository Operations.
• Programme Schedule:
• Location: Kochi
• Programme Date: September 12, 2026 (Saturday)
• Last Date for Registration: September 11, 2026 (up to 6:00 p.m.)
• Registrations are to be completed through the NISM Certification Portal.
• PAN Number, PAN Card and candidate photograph are mandatory for registration. Fresh registrations on the NISM portal will be approved manually by NISM before candidates can enroll for the CPE programme or examination.
• NISM has prescribed an approval timeline of 3 working days for candidate profile verification.
• Applicability: The programme is applicable to eligible candidates under the following categories:
• General Category.
• Principal Category.
• Grandfathered by Age Category.
• Grandfathered by Experience Category.
• The communiqué specifies the eligibility criteria, mandatory documentation and registration requirements for each category through Annexures A, B and C.
• The programme will consist of one day of training followed by a multiple-choice evaluation test.
• A maximum of 60 participants will be accommodated in a single batch.
• NISM will issue certificates within 30 working days from the date of training, subject to successful completion of the evaluation test and verification of documents.
• Effective Date: August 04, 2026.
• Penalty/Consequence: Not Mentioned.

• Eligible candidates should register for the programme through the NISM Certification Portal before the prescribed deadline.
• Candidates should ensure that PAN details, PAN Card and photograph are updated and approved on the NISM portal.
• Candidates must carry the prescribed original documents and supporting documents for verification at the training venue.
• Principal Category and Grandfathered by Experience Category applicants should submit the prescribed certification formats (Annexure B/Annexure C), wherever applicable.
Compliance Deadline –
• Registration for the Kochi programme must be completed by September 11, 2026 (up to 6:00 p.m.).
• The CPE Programme is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2026.
